English 12 - Movies

I love movies. My friends and I live at the move theatre. I personally love horror films. I like to feel the suspense and fell the rush of adrenaline.  I love to shout at the screen when I'm at home watching a horror film on the character's actions. I hate when they do remakes, its never as good as the original. Beside horror films,  I do like a good action films. I don't mind a good car chase with guns being fired off. I also like a good plot twist that blows my mind. Therefore, one my favourite movies are the saw series. Even though they starts off slow the ending always blows my mind. It's like watching the matrix for the first time. I love movies, it like a passion of mine. It's a great way to escape reality for couple of hours.

English 12 - lesson in life

There are are lots of lesson I have learned in life. One of the most important lesson I have learned is learning from our mistakes. As all of are humans we make mistake since no one is perfect. I have made lots of mistakes but I have also learned a lot from my mistakes. Such as, not to trust other individuals easily, take precaution, be careful who to choose to trust and who to tell your secrets to. I have also learned what to do and what not to do in certain sisituion. Making a mistake is not the end of the world as it does feel that way sometimes. Learning from them is what we take out of our mistakes. I personally can say from my mistakes I have gained plenty of knowledge so in the future I would be able to be successful. No one is perfect so, learning from our mistakes is how we learn and grow as a human being. I feel I have grown a lot from my mistakes.

English 12 - Favorite Book

I love to read books. Especially, siting inside on a raining day with a warm blanket and a cup of tea. One of my favorite books of all time is pride and prejudice by Jane Austen. I just enjoyed how Mr. Darcy intense personality and Elizabeth wittiness. I loved how the author showed the presence of true love through Mr.Darcy and Elizabeth. This book was filled with passion, heartbreak and intenseness. Which I found it made a very real page turner. I found it interesting to see how Elizabeth's pride makes her misjudge Mr.Darcy due to his impression on the poor class status and Mr. Darcy isprejudice on Elizabeth poor socials standing. I love how the author set this story during the time where women were expected to behave a certain way. Their reputation was very important. To see Elizabeth break the social norm was fascinating to read. This book takes the readers on a journey. Therefore, this book is one of favourite books because it filed with courtship, reputation, class and love.

English 12 - Personal Goals

I have lots of personal goals. I want to do many things in life. For insist I want to go to university and finish university in four years. Then, I would like to start my career off and maybe settle down. For long term I would like to finish off my bucket list! Also, would also like to treat my parents to a nice vacation. Short term I will like to start working out daily and start to eat more healthy. Setting personal goals keeps me together. I set myself a due date in order for me to live my life. I have tons of long and short term personal goals that help keep my life on the way I want to.

English 12 - Thoughts on the Vancouver Riot of 2011

I have been huge Vancouver Canucks fan ever since I was a kid. Watching the Canucks play was a family occasion. We all got together to watch and cheer them on. So that day was so intense, so nerve racking and so much excitement just waiting for game 7 to start. I wanted to go downtown where I thought the celebration would have taken place for the Vancouver Canucks  however, according to my mother there were going to be lots of people there and it wouldn't have been safe. As always she was right. I thought they were going to win as Roberto Luongo said he could only win on home ice but, I was clearly wrong. As the finial period was coming to an end and it was clear that the Vancouver Canucks were going to loose. People that were outside watching from the big screen starting hitting cop cars, starting to throwing rock at stores window and began stealing merchandise and others were making out. Once the game actually ended everything went out of control. There were cop cars being flipped over and put on fire, people hitting each other and cops hitting civilians trying to control them. I personally was watching the riot live on television and all I saw was lots of individuals putting  any item they could find on fire. I'm talking about cars, trashcans, mailboxes etc. I saw many individuals laying on the ground and no body helping them out. I also saw that of individuals just standing by the fire and taking pictures or selfies. This riot went way out of control. I felt ashamed for once to be Canadian. However, I do feel this riot was going to happen either if they had won or lost. This riot created a bad image on Canadians and to the city of Vancouver. Vancouver is a beautiful city filled with mountains , harbors and wonderful buildings and that was  what Vancouver was known for but now Vancouver is  known for this riot.

These two links show first hand how crazy and out of control the riot was.
